Indie rock group Maxïmo Park played tonight at Chop Suey, a tiny venue up at Capitol Hill. Darren and James were visiting over from the UK so we had some dinner first up at Elysian Fields.

It wasn't until during the gig we realized that the band had eaten dinner at Elysian Fields.

Their first album has some pretty catchy songs. Live, these guys are damn tight and Paul Smith has an energetic stage presence. I was expecting him to kick someone with all the jumping he did. These guys played an awesome set. The best thing about the Chop Suey is it only has space for ~100 people, so even if you're near the back, you're much closer than a large venue.
