Angélique Kidjo

Went to see the excellent Angélique Kidjo at Jazz Alley. From Benin, Angélique has a large back catalogue and has worked on film and TV soundtracks. We first heard her in the opening credits to Nanni Moretti's Caro Diario.

The show was excellent, Angélique's voice is stunning and the band were talented. Jazz Alley is an interesting venue, we had dinner with the show which gives you a downstairs seat much closer to the stage. You can turn up just for drinks but the seating is upstairs. The food, whilst edible, is really only a mechanism to give you better seating.

Still a great gig.
