Stanley Park, Vancouver, BC
Ughh, after the awesome wedding of Spencer and Shuana, I don't feel very good today. We drove out to Stanley Park to get some fresh air. Heading out West from downtown there's Robson Street (for shopping), lots of high rise residential developments and then Stanley Park. This in itself consists of too much traffic when hungover.
The park, much like Central Park, is a great breakaway from the city and is a huge 1,000 acres. It goes right out to the Pacific and has lots of trails. We took the drive-by-park option, although parking does cost.
At Brockston Point we encountered a seagull that had bitten off more than it could swallow. It's beak was wide open with a starfish hanging half out. I suspect the starfish wasn't doing much good to the seagull's throat.
Further along at Prospect Point we came across a family of raccoons. They were wise creatures and weren't attempting to eat any marine invertebrates.
