New Seats
After a relaxing long walk round Central Park, we headed back to JFK to lounge around a bit before catching the late night flight to LHR.
We were in for a treat on this flight as it was kitted out with the new Club World seats.
The positives
- Seat width is wider (armrests move down when in flat bed mode). This makes a huge difference to sleeping
- Stretch your legs over the footrest. If you don't have a seat in front and you're tall, this helps sleeping again
- AV on Demand with more film and TV selections. It's long overdue. Video quality is ok, you can definitely see compression
- Seat is more comfortable. Better foam/cushioning materials
The negatives
- There was a springboard effect when lying flat. I only really noticed this when turning over, but it was annoying
- Wife's AVOD didn't work, I think the screen was broken. Didn't matter much as this was a night flight
