Restaurant Zoë

IMAGE_101

As part of the ongoing 25 (restaurants) for ($)25 restaurant offer this month we tried Restaurant Zoë, a local North West restaurant in Belltown.

The place seemed packed, for a Thursday evening, and our table was delayed 15 minutes. We managed to get the last bit of standing room by the bar whilst we waited for our table. Oddly enough when our table was ready, they gave us a rather large table when there were more suitbly sized parties waiting.

Food was reasonable, especially given how busy they were. Main choices were a mix of poultry or fish. Not great for vegetarians, although they confirmed they can always knock up a veggie surprise. Steak seemed a safe option for me. Dessert was some mistaken cheese.

Our wine choices were pretty poor as well. We ordered a couple of glasses of a local cab sauv that we couldn't finish (they didn't charge us) and our safety attempt at a bottle of chianti wasn't much better.
