Seven Swords

For the last few weeks we've had the Seattle International Film Festival (and that's SIFF not SITH) going on. It's been a manic few weeks but we finally got out this weekend to see Seven Swords, which isn't out on general release here in the US.

This was a violent film with plenty of gore, lots of heads and limbs being sliced off. The stunts were very good with apparently no CGI used. Story is somewhat similar to Seven Samurai with seven swordsman (and women) brought in to protect the people from an emperor set out to behead anyone who practised martial arts.

The original was 3 hrs long, the US premiere we saw was cut to 2 hrs. Consequently some parts didn't seem to make too much sense.
