Cuisine to avoid before flying

It's the end of a set of meetings this week in Reading and I finally got the chance to catch up with Krist. Typically our evenings end up with a little too much on the beer and inedible hot curry side of things, however given my flight back to Seattle tomorrow we jointly decided curry was not the wisest of ideas. Wondering around Soho we had a failed attempt at Korean, due to no booking, so we settled on an Italian. The Trattoria da Aldo on Greek Street.

We both ended up ordering the spaghetti alle vongele, to which we asked for it to be a bit on the spicy side. The spaghetti was disappointingly overcooked and cut so much you could virtually eat it with a spoon. It also turned out to be so ridiculously hot Krist was unable to finish his! Note, none of the usual 'please make it as hot as possible' statements were added to the spicy request.
