I have mixed thoughts about the new terminal 5 they are building at London Heathrow airport. The car traffic is already bad enough and the air traffic is abysmal. Now the security traffic has taken a turn for the worse, with the reccomended time to check in for an international flight is now 3 hours due to security screening procedures. Even fast track security was about 15 minutes, purely due to the sheer number of people.

Does it really add to the secureness of air travel or to the impression of secureness?

Anyway after a long 9:30 hrs flight back to Seattle, it's time to get back into sync with GMT-8.
