Morcheeba

Morcheeba played down at The Showbox last weekend and a few of us went down to see them. I used to really like them when they first came out, they can somehow blend country riffs into a really good chilled out rhythm.

To my surprise they've changed lead singers with Skye departed and a very energetic Daisy Martey stepping in, with some flute and sax solos as well. Gig was great although the jury is still out on the latest songs.

Biggest problem are the songs themselves. Just as it's finally building up and you can start grooving to the tune, it chills out and you're wondering if you're better sat down at a table sipping a glass of cabernet sauvignon.
