Blenheim Palace, Woodstock

Driving back from Oxford and took an ad-hoc visit to Blenheim Palace. The grounds are huge, 2100 acres, with a very regal drive from the front gate to the carpark. The interior of the palace has some French influences and remended me of Versailles, although the exterior architecture is very different.

Wiston Churchill was born here and a good part of the open exhibits chart his childhood as well as his public history.

Very grand stuff!
