Edie Brickell & The New Bohemians

Last week we spotted in the local paper that Edie Brickell was playing down at Neumo's, a small club up on Capitol Hill. After a 16 year hiatus she's back with The New Bohemians and a new studio album, Stranger Things. After 16 years they certainly look... well older.



The set comprised of a mix of old and new, their sound essentially hasn't changed and is still a mix of folk and rock.



Performance was spot on, everything like you remembered it, but with enough improv added to keep it fresh. The distorted audio in the videos don't really capture it well as we were right at the front.

I never realised Edie was a Texan given her studio albums, but after hearing her live it seems rather obvious now.
